Scott Picker


Scott caught the landscaping bug at an early age as he and his brother started a small landscaping company in High School. He then moved on to Washington State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Education in 1998. Since founding Aspen Creek in 2000, Scott has been an active member of the community and landscape industry serving as the State President of the Oregon Landscape Contractors Association in 2014. His artistic vision, extensive plant knowledge and attention to detail are the foundation of the company’s success. In his free time Scott can be found frolicking in the pastures with his herd of Texas Longhorns or spending time with his wife Amelia and their two children Carson and Emily.


Jeremy Tobin

General Manager

Jeremy has been managing landscape maintenance on the West Coast since 2003. Since moving to Oregon and joining Aspen Creek in 2013 he has strived to provide clients with excellent customer service. His vast knowledge of plant health, ornamental pruning and proper maintenance techniques ensure our client’s gardens look their best. Jeremy is currently the President of the Portland Region of the Oregon Landscape Contractors Association and an active member of the Sherwood community. As a former class clown he can now be found hamming it up around the office in a vain attempt to make everyone laugh. Jeremy enjoys spending his free time with his wife Allison and their two children Cooper and Phoebe.



Yera Castaneda

Office Manager

Yera recently moved from SW Florida to Oregon with her 2 children in 2019 and joined our team as an Administrative Assistant in September 2019, she was born in Mexico and moved to Florida at the age of 10. She strives daily to exceed the expectations of both our current clients, as well as potential ones. Yera is our bilingual professional can assist on all things office related, she has over 20 years of experience in excellent customer service and accounting. When she is not working, she likes to spend her time shuttling her kids around to soccer and gymnastics events or spending time hiking, beach trips and exploring Oregon’s camping opportunities.


Bill Spelbring

Landscape Designer and Construction Sales

Bill moved from the Midwest to Oregon in the late 1970s and earned his degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon in 1983. By listening to his customers’ wants and needs, he has designed and built landscapes using his expertise in hardscapes, water features, lawns, plantings, outdoor lighting and other outdoor living environments. Bill enjoys the contrast of man-made elements softened by Aspen Creek’s rich palette of plants. He looks forward to bringing you the landscape you desire.



Chris Clark

Maintenance Account Manager

Born and raised in the great state of Texas Chris began his landscape career at a young age mowing lawns in his neighborhood. After spending 10 years as a lawn care technician, Chris transitioned into a management role and hasn’t looked back. After management stints in Dallas and San Diego, Chris met the love of his life and moved to the Northwest in 2018 to be with her. He joined our team in 2019 as an Account Manager and provides our clients with excellent customer service. Chris’s calm demeanor and wry sense of humor adds balance to our management team. In his free time he enjoys fishing, camping and jockeying for sleeping position with his three dogs.


Jennifer Tilford

Maintenance Account Manager

Jennifer began her career in the green industry a decade ago managing the yard of a large wholesale nursery in Nebraska. Soon there-after this life-long Midwesterner immediately fell in love with the beauty of the PNW on her first trip to tour Oregon nurseries. Upon returning home to the Midwest she vowed to become resident of the Northwest one day. Years later that dream finally became a reality. Throughout her 10 plus years in the Green Industry she has worked as a Landscape Foreman, Account Manager, Nursery and Commercial Maintenance Manager. Through all of these experiences she realized her favorite part of a job is getting to know her clients and helping them to find the beauty and tranquility in their outdoor spaces. When not working, Jennifer loves to explore the coast collecting shells, going on long hikes, going wine tasting and rogue paddle boarding on the Tualatin River. She is also the defending champion of our First Annual Children’s Bike races here at the office.



Alicia Buehler

Landscape Designer and Construction Sales

Alicia started college with thoughts of being an accountant. She soon realized that she’d rather be planting beans instead of counting them. She re-focused her schooling efforts to horticulture, landscape management and design classes and opened her own business in Seattle in 2004. During her many years of running the company their gardens were featured in magazines, garden tours and books. After 14 exhausting and successful years Alicia decided that a life change was in order and wanted to get back to the foundation of what she loved; designing and building gardens. Alicia moved to Portland area and in early 2021 joined the Aspen Creek family and began to work on the Design and Project Management team. Her biggest reward is developing projects that enhance her client’s properties. Designing unique, beautiful and diverse gardens is what motivates her each day. In her free time Alicia loves exploring and new adventures. Whether its hiking, white water rafting or scuba diving Alicia loves spending her free time going on new adventures. Her latest undertaking is learning to play ice hockey.
